Exhibition of Palezoic era

The most frequently coming visitors are those interested in nature, nature history, history of Earth and of our territory during Paleozoic era. The exhibition includes educative, as well as non-fiction features. It is designed also for children, but they need an adult companion, not necessarily a specialist, to help them with the explanation. The exhibition is also suitable for children on school trips, who come quite often, as the teachers often use the exhibition to intersperse school lessons.

The exhibition has two parts. The first part is educative and it contains models of Paleozoic dinosaurs, genus Edaphosaurs, a model of Paleozoic forest with a giant dragonfly and a see-through path over a paleontological finding place. The specialized part contains exhibits from collections of Museum of Western Bohemia in Pilsen, unique findings from the area of Ovčín, e.g. imprints of real Paleozoic rain, a 300 mil. years old spider and fossils of club mosses and horsetails. There is also an entirely unique imprint of Paleozoic plant, species lepidodendron lycopodioides, a tree-like club moss found in the area of Radnice near Pilsen in 2003.

Each exhibition is accompanied by a unique 3D movie projected by stereoscopic projection.
